The Stories We Are (“TSWA”) does all the following:

              –coordinates with you for scheduling of the interview date/time for ‘Grandpa’ (in our example) and for completing basic  items (fee, [virtual] handshake agreement) for Grandpa’s interview [1 hour]

              –talks with you in advance of the interview about Grandpa and any particular topics or moments you may want John and Grandpa to chat about [thirty minutes]

              – scans and prepares all the photos that you send us (mail or email attachments) in advance; photos received during the interview are taken back to TSWA, scanned and given back to you [2 hours]

              –travels to the interview location and uses a hotel for any overnight required due to distance [varies; depends on distance]

              –sets up all video, audio and if needed lighting at the interview room (home, etc); [1 hour]

              –chats with/interviews Grandpa for two, three, four hours.  Time depends on the flow, how Grandpa is holding up and if all your particular topics have been covered (if you had some). We find that people are surprised at how fast the time went by and how many hours they’ve been talking just about their lives and thoughts. [2-4 hours]

              –travels back to TSWA with all the raw video and audio from Grandpa’s chat [varies; depends on distance]

              –watches the entire interview, noting time-stamps for moments and topics for the final product [depends on interview length i.e. 2,3,4 hours]

– edits the full raw video and audio, putting it together so it flows nicely; inserts/drops the photos into the video stream where meaningful and help to complete the stories of Grandpa’s life [20-30 hours]

              – extracts and edits at the same time short one or two-minute clips [3 hours]

              –discusses with you periodically the status, questions and any input you may want to give [1 hour]

              –completes the final-video of Grandpa’s interview [3 hours]

              –provides you the final-video in several formats.  Once the video editing is completed, typically within sixty days, TSWA will provide you with dvd copies and flash drive, and your own internet-accessible page [2 hours]. This internet-accessible page allows you to share the complete, full final-video with anyone worldwide that you let know.
